Hi-Tone Ramblers  

Bethany Weiman grew up in Fort Dodge, Iowa and started cello throughthe Suzuki Method at age seven. She got her first taste of countrymusic during college opening for Montgomery Gentry and Lonestar at acounty fair. Bethany earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music whilestudying classical music, jazz improvisation, composition,arrangement, and Latin hand percussion at Augustana College in Rock
Island, IL.

In 2004 Bethany moved to Boston to attend the Berklee College of
Music. Since then she has performed with a variety of area orchestras(including Lowell, Wellesley and Newton), chamber groups,singer-songwriters (including Rebecca Muir), and old time groups. Sheenjoys teaching private cello students and developing her vocal/cellosolo project.

Bethany discovered Old Time music after wandering into Sandy's Music jam in Cambridge a few years ago. Recently she has been seen playing and singing with the Dixie Buttercups, Planet Banjo, and the Hi-Tone Ramblers.
